Serenity Sounds Yoga
Katie Carp is an RYT 200 certified yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. She has been practicing yoga for seven years. In 2011, Katie was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. That same year, she walked into her first yoga class. Her yoga mat became a place where it was ok to forget life’s struggles and just be. Yoga has been a source of strength, confidence, and serenity for Katie, and we're looking forward to easing into a morning practice with a focus on greeting the day with positive energy.

Enjoy the natural gifts of other women attending.
Feel nourished from the inside out.

Yes, you can come early. Please note you can visit the local eateries for breakfast and lunch before the retreat starts.
There is internet inside the houses, but I encourage you to disconnect for the 24 hours to give yourself some much-needed downtime. Your phone should work as all our guests to date have had no reception problems.
We suggest that you watch the weather so that you can pack appropriately, but plan on bringing your overnight bag, pajamas, socks, sweaters for the evening, comfortable clothes, a jacket for the beach, walking shoes, outdoor clothes with layers for the day, maybe your pillow (if you love yours), a book, an open heart, and appetite for a connecting! Minimal preparation is needed. I’m more interested that you drive into Linwood with an open mind and loving heart with an interest to connect and have fun.
About 14 women attend each Together We Seek Retreat.
You have been drawn to this gathering for a reason and although there is no participation required I hope that you are open to exploring your energy, your current barriers, and your future aspirations.
Sure, you can bring a story, a favorite book, a difficult hurdle you want to overcome and work that into your conversation while we are together or favorite food. I do not plan to ask what people brought but you are welcome you to share it as you see fit throughout the time we are together.
If you have food allergies, send us an email after you register so that the private chef can accommodate your dietary restricitons.
You are always welcome to take a walk, explore, or even go back to your room. This is a time for you to rejuvenate and if you feel that stepping away is best for you, please listen to your inner voice.
This Retreat is Spiritual and Not Necessarily Religious
While we would love to have all women join us, this retreat will incorporate spiritual practices which may not jive with traditional religious practices. This could include, but isn't limited to, meditation, yoga, chanting, and mindfulness practices.
